Note: A qualified HVAC-R technician is required for the installation of your Ducted Twin Platinum Split. Failure to have the system installed by a qualified technician will void the warranty.

Ducted Split Systems split the cooling system in two, where the condenser can be placed in a space better suited for heat and noise dissipation and the evaporator is ducted nearby the cellar. This keeps the wine cellar quiet and vibration-free.

The Split System does NOT come with its own line set.

Described in the simplest terms, a split system is a cooling unit wherein the evaporator unit and condensing unit have been “split” into two separate units instead of being contained within the same housing. The evaporator unit is located in or near your cellar, and the condensing unit is generally located outside, or in an attic or utility room. 

The Ducted Twin Platinum Split allows you to decide where the evaporator unit and the condensing unit will be located. The condensing unit can be located up to 100 ft. away from the evaporator unit. The evaporator unit will be mounted in the cellar or it can also be located nearby with ducting.

24Volt

For the Split System series, a 24V option is also available which allows you to tie into your home electronic thermostat or home automation system, please inquire.  

 Although the cooling units are rated for various size rooms, the thermal load may require a larger sized cooling unit.  Thermal load may be affected by glass in the cellar, room positioning or other factors.  Please let a Rosehill Wine Cellar rep make some suggestions for you if needed.
